Ensign Region I - Haarstick 1,2,3

Last weekend the Ensign Region I Championship was held in Barnegat Bay NJ. After a mean front came through on Friday, with winds up to 70 mph, the winds calmed down to 8-15 for the next two days for the event. Ensign Fleet 63 hosted the event with Toms River YC as the host club. There were 5 races during the weekend.
Past National Champion Brian Simkins of Long Island Sound won the event handily, with Mill Murphey and Mike Frankovich, both from Fleet 63 tied for 2nd. Murphey won the tiebreaker. This also means that Haarstick boats took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Thanks to all of our new customers in NJ and to Brian Simkins for all your continued support. The Ensign Nationals are next week hosted by Fleet 7 on Long Island Sound and we should have more news then.
