Computer Technologies: Steve Haarstick has been an industry innovator since he broke onto the sailmaking scene in the 1960's. He pioneered automated computer cutting, 18 years before it became the industry standard.

Sailcloth: It all starts with our Sailcloth. To make the best sails, you have to start with the best sailcloth, PERIOD! No other sailmaker tests sailcloth like Haarstick (most do not test cloth at all), so no one else knows sailcloth like Haarstick.

Sail Design: Steve's Aeronautical Engineering background (MS degree from Stevens Institute) and his sailmaking and sail design experience (over 38 years) provides the foundation for Haarstick sail design. Many of our designs are optimized for Lake, Ocean and Bay sailing performance.

Service: As a service-oriented company, we have representatives in many regions throughout the Northeast US and Canada. We offer rig tuning and sail trimming guides with our sails to help you get the most out of your new Haarstick sail right out of the bag.
